Türkiye will not approve attempts to cooperate with Israel within NATO: President Erdogan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that cooperation with Israel within NATO is “not acceptable” due to what he calls Israel’s disregard for fundamental alliance values. Speaking after the NATO summit in Washington, DC, Erdogan criticized Israeli policies in Gaza and the West Bank, urging for a two-state solution based on 1967 borders. He also called for more international recognition of Palestine and for countries to file complaints against Israel at the International Court of Justice.
