Turkish president says Israel is blocking Gaza aid with “fabricated excuses”

Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Israel has failed to meet its commitments and is deliberately blocking humanitarian aid to Gaza, pledging that Türkiye will increase support for Palestinians.

Speaking at the Justice and Development Party’s extended provincial heads meeting in Ankara, Erdogan said Israel was creating obstacles to aid deliveries despite a ceasefire, leaving civilians facing worsening conditions as winter sets in.

He said Türkiye would step up assistance during the coming months, noting that the 19th Turkish aid ship carrying 1,300 tonnes of supplies recently reached El-Arish Port in Egypt, bringing total Turkish aid to Gaza over the past two years to nearly 105,000 tonnes.
