Thousands take to streets in several European cities, demanding end to genocide in Gaza

Thousands across several European cities protested on Saturday to mark Nakba Day and condemn Israel’s attacks on Gaza. In Vienna, Austria, demonstrators gathered at Cultural Square, carrying Palestinian flags and banners with slogans like “No to Genocide,” “Israel is a Terrorist,” and “Free Gaza.” Protesters were warned against chanting “Intifada” and “Free Palestine from the river to the sea” to avoid the rally being shut down. In Italy, various cities saw protests against Israel’s actions. In Turin, a “Turin for Gaza” march organized by Palestinian supporters included burning EU and NATO flags. Some fast-food restaurants along the route were vandalized with paint, accused of being “accomplices of Israel.” In Dublin, Ireland, the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign organized a large protest at the Garden of Remembrance Park. The event was attended by numerous associations, political party representatives, and hundreds of people.
