Scotland leader’s wife says family rescued from Gaza with Türkiye help

Nadia El Nakla, the wife of Scotland’s First Minister Humza Yousaf, expressed gratitude for Ankara’s assistance in rescuing her brother’s spouse and their four children from besieged Gaza. The family has been granted temporary protection status in Turkey. She called on the British government to implement a visa program similar to the one for Ukrainians, allowing the reunification of families separated by the Israeli conflict in Gaza. El Nakla also criticized the Israeli offensive, labeling it a “genocide” and lamented the lack of media coverage for the ongoing crisis. She emotionally shared her brother’s gratitude for the safety of his children.
