Human Rights Watch (HRW) reported that Palestinian healthcare workers in Gaza have been detained by Israeli forces, mistreated, and tortured. The HRW report, released on Monday, details severe mistreatment, including threats of rape, denial of medical care, and poor conditions in detention centers. These actions have contributed to the collapse of Gaza’s healthcare system amid ongoing violence that has killed over 40,000 Palestinians. HRW’s Balkees Jarrah called for an immediate halt to these practices and urged a thorough investigation, including by the International Criminal Court (ICC).
