Palestinian footballer Imad Abu Tima killed with his family in Israeli strike on Gaza (MEE)

An Israeli airstrike in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, killed 21-year-old Palestinian footballer Imad Abu Tima and nine family members. Abu Tima, who played for Ittihad Khan Younis and represented Palestine’s U-20 national team, is one of over 400 Palestinian athletes reportedly killed in Gaza, according to Palestine’s National Olympic Committee. In July, the Palestine Football Association reported that 245 football players, including 69 children, had been killed in Gaza. Meanwhile, FIFA has repeatedly delayed voting on banning Israel from competition.
