A total of 168 Palestinian doctors have received advanced medical certifications in Gaza, graduating amid the ruins of the al-Shifa Medical Complex after completing their training during two years of Israel’s war, offi cials said.
The ceremony, held in Gaza City, saw the doctors, known as the “Humanity Cohort”, awarded Palestinian Board certifications despite working through bombardment, displacement and severe shortages.
Youssef Abu al-Reish said the graduates emerged “from the womb of suffering”, while al-Shifa director Mohammed Abu Salmiya said attempts to destroy Palestinian human capital had failed.
