Palestine elected member of Board of Directors of International Labor Organization

Palestine secured a seat as the third-place member on the Board of Directors of the International Labor Organization (ILO) for the term 2024-2027. The International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) and the Arab Trade Union Confederation (ATUC) unanimously voted for Palestine, despite its observer status rather than full membership in the United Nations. Shaher Saad, Secretary-General of the General Federation of Palestinian Trade Unions, represented Palestine at the ILO conference, among 29 members from various continents on the workers’ team.
