Notable Muslim organizations in Nigeria, led by the Muslim Public Affairs Centre (MPAC), have raised awareness about the ongoing Israeli war in Gaza, which has killed over 45,000 Palestinians, primarily women and children. During a gathering at the Johnson Jakande Tinubu (JJT) Park in Lagos, the groups held a three-day awareness campaign, titled #NigeriaForGaza, to demand a ceasefire and highlight the plight of Palestinians. They urged Nigerians, regardless of their religion, to support justice for Palestinians and boycott companies funding Israel’s actions through business proceeds. The event called attention to Israel’s ongoing occupation of Palestinian territories since 1967.
