Since January 2023, at least 224 Palestinian children have been killed by Israeli occupation forces or settlers, nearly half of the 468 children killed in the occupied West Bank since 2005, according to Save the Children and OCHA. This marks a significant rise in violence, with at least ten children among the 70 Palestinians killed in January 2025, one of the deadliest months for children. Despite a pause in hostilities in Gaza, violence against children in the West Bank has intensified. Ahmad Alhendawi of Save the Children criticized the use of military tactics in an area under occupation, stressing that Israeli forces should follow international human rights law.
