Dozens of athletes have joined rights groups in urging European football’s governing body to suspend Israel over alleged abuses against Palestinians. In a letter to UEFA’s president, a coalition of more than 70 sports professionals called for cutting ties with the Israel Football Association, arguing that continued participation enables impunity and that sporting bodies should take collective action in response to serious human rights violations.
