Media freedom watchdog decries Israel’s killing of journalists in Gaza (AJE)

The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) has condemned Israel for killing four Palestinian journalists in Gaza amid intensified military strikes. CPJ noted that Israel is responsible for two-thirds of the 95 journalist deaths reported globally in 2024, acting with “total impunity.” The latest victim, Ahmed al-Louh, an Al Jazeera cameraman, was killed in the Nuseirat refugee camp, following the deaths of journalists Mohammed Balousha, Mohammed Jabr al-Qrinawi, and Eman Shanti. CPJ criticized the international community for failing to hold Israel accountable for these actions.
