A Palestinian man, Ziyad Halayka, was abducted and brutally assaulted by a group of Jewish settlers in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Information Centre reported. Halayka was returning home to Ash-Shuyukh, north of Hebron, when the settlers abducted him and took him to the illegal settlement of Asfar, where they beat him severely. He was later dumped unconscious in the Wadi Sa’ir area.His wife reported that she was unable to reach him for two hours after the abduction. Halayka was then rushed to Princess Alia Governmental Hospital, where doctors found his body covered in bruises and wounds.
