Israel wiped out 3% of Gaza’s Christians since October 7 — Palestine

The Palestinian state minister for foreign affairs and expatriates, Varsen Aghabekian Shahin, disclosed on Tuesday that Israel’s invasion since October last year has resulted in the death of 3 percent of Gaza’s Christian population. Shahin revealed these figures during a meeting with a delegation from Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP) in Ramallah. She
highlighted the destruction of churches amid restrictions on Christians in the West Bank. According to the state news agency WAFA, Gaza is home to around 1,200 Christians among its 2.4 million population. At least three churches have been destroyed in Israeli attacks in Gaza since October 7 last year, as estimated by Gaza’s government media office. Shahin expressed concern over the threat to Palestinian Christian presence and called for international action to halt Israeli aggression in Gaza and the West Bank.
