Israel kills five journalists in clearly marked press vehicle in Gaza (MEE)

An Israeli airstrike on Thursday killed five journalists from Al-Quds Today outside al-Awda Hospital in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, according to Palestinian authorities. The journalists were in a clearly marked “press” van when it was struck, bursting into flames. The victims were Fadi Hassouna, Ibrahim al-Sheikh Ali, Mohammed al-Ladah, Faisal Abu al-Qumsan, and Ayman al-Jadi, who had been at the hospital with his wife, who was in labor.Omar al-Jadi, Ayman’s brother, was present and captured images after the strike. The attack has drawn widespread condemnation, as the van was marked with large red “press” labels.
