Israel detains director of key north Gaza hospital as WHO condemns raids (AJE)

The Israeli military has detained the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, one of northern Gaza’s last functioning facilities, the World Health Organization (WHO) reported. Following a raid, the hospital was emptied, with 15 critical patients, 50 caregivers, and 20 staff relocated to the under-resourced Indonesian Hospital. WHO expressed grave concern, warning that the transfer under such conditions jeopardizes patient survival.The UN agency reiterated its call for the protection of hospitals in Gaza, emphasizing the risks faced by medical staff and patients amid the ongoing bombardment.
