Members of the Oxford University student movement against the Israeli war on Gaza are determined to continue their protest despite a recent police crackdown. Police detained 17 protesters on Thursday at Vice-Chancellor Irene Tracey’s headquarters, which activists described as an unprecedented response. The university stated the students violated regulations by occupying part of the administrative building and entering Tracey’s office. Since 6 May, students have set up two encampments in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza: one outside the Pitt Rivers Museum and another in front of the Radcliffe Camera building.
