At least five journalists were killed by Israeli forces in Gaza within the last 24 hours as bombings intensified. Gaza’s Government Media Office reported that three journalists were killed in the Nuseirat refugee camp and two in Gaza City, bringing the total number of media workers killed since October 7 to at least 158. The victims in Nuseirat included Amjad Jahjouh, Rizq Abu Ashkian, and Wafa Abu Dabaan, who was married to Jahjouh; their children also died in the attack, which killed at least 10 people. Journalists Saadi Madoukh and Ahmed Sukkar were killed in an Israeli raid on the Madoukh family’s home in Gaza City. This conflict is now considered the deadliest for journalists worldwide.
