UN chief: Israel rejection of two-state solution will embolden extremists

The United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, expressed on Tuesday that Israel’s rejection of a two-state solution to its conflict with the Palestinians is “unacceptable” and cautioned that such a stance would “embolden extremists everywhere.” During a high-level meeting of the U.N. Security Council on the Middle East, Guterres asserted that “Israel’s occupation must end.”
