Since a ceasefire was declared in Gaza on October 10, 2025, Israeli forces have carried out repeated attacks across the territory, according to authorities in Gaza, who say hundreds of people have been killed despite the truce.
The Gaza Government Media Office reported that Israel committed at least 1,620 violations of the ceasefire between October 10, 2025 and February 10, 2026. The alleged breaches include airstrikes, artillery shelling and live fire. Officials said Israeli forces opened fire on civilians 560 times, carried out 79 incursions into residential areas beyond a designated “yellow line,” launched 749 bombardments, and demolished property on 232 occasions. They also reported that 50 Palestinians from Gaza were detained during the same period.
The office further accused Israel of continuing to restrict humanitarian aid and of damaging homes and infrastructure throughout the enclave.
