Israel has ordered dozens of aid organisations to halt operations in Gaza within 36 hours, citing failure to comply with new requirements to hand over personal details of Palestinian and international staff. Those affected include major groups such as ActionAid, International Rescue Committee and Médecins Sans Frontières.
The move, announced by the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs, comes as severe storms destroy thousands of tents, worsening Gaza’s humanitarian crisis.
Foreign ministers from 10 countries warned of a “catastrophic” situation, saying 1.3 million people still need urgent shelter, health services are barely functioning, and the collapse of sanitation systems has left 740,000 people at risk of flooding.
