British activist Ruth Herbert is set to complete a 6.5-month walk from the UK to Istanbul to raise funds for Palestinians. The 52-year-old began her journey in May, crossing multiple European countries, and is expected to arrive in Istanbul on Saturday.
Herbert has raised about £50,000 for Medical Aid for Palestinians, saying the walk was driven by a desire to do more than protests and political advocacy. She said the journey aimed to show solidarity, raise hope, and connect with people across Europe who support Palestinians.
