Thousands of people gathered at Istanbul’s Galata Bridge on Wednesday for a rally organized by the National Will Platform, which includes around 400 civic organizations, to show support for Palestinians facing violence in Gaza. The Turkish Youth Foundation (TÜGVA) led the demonstration, with participants coming from nearby areas, some arriving by boat and others walking from mosques like Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque and Sultanahmet (Blue Mosque), where they performed dawn prayers. Waving Turkish and Palestinian flags, the demonstrators carried banners reading “Stop The Genocide in Gaza” and “A Sun Is Rising.”
