Scotland has suspended all meetings with Israeli diplomats until there is “real progress” toward a Gaza cease-fire and unobstructed humanitarian aid. External Affairs Secretary Angus Robertson stated that the Scottish government would not meet with Israel until progress is made on peace, aid access, and cooperation with international investigations into genocide and war crimes. This decision follows a recent meeting between Robertson and Israel’s Deputy Ambassador to the U.K., which drew criticism within the Scottish National Party (SNP).
